Dr. Yeong Cheng Toh


Dr Yeong Cheng Toh is a senior consultant obstetrician/gynaecologist and reproductive endocrinologist. He graduated with an MBBS from National University of Singapore (NUS, Singapore) in 1989 and pursued the Master of Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), also from NUS in 1995. He continued to follow his interest and was awarded the MOH’s Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London from 1999 to 2000. He was also appointed coordinator of the hospital’s Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis programme.

Dr Yeong has always been passionate in the field of infertility and IVF since 2000, where he was practicing at Kandang Kerbau Hospital (KKH) IVF centre, (the largest public IVF centre in Singapore). He has also practiced in London at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Assisted Conception Unit and at the Centre of Reproductive Medicine (CRM London, IVF and Fertility Clinic). He was also the Medical Director at Hanh Phuc IVF Centre, a prestigious IVF centre in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). For his distinguished contribution to the people and development of Ho Chi Minh City, Dr Yeong was awarded the Ho Chi Minh City Badge in 2012. He also supports and is the clinical director of several fertility programmes in India.

His passion in treating couples with infertility is reflected in the attention he provides for the patient’s comfort and emotional needs. Giving each couple time and effort to help them tailor a comprehensive evidence-based treatment plan that is specifically suited for the couple’s unique circumstances. Always keeping the couple’s perspectives and feelings in mind, Dr Yeong is meticulous in explaining the treatment plan during their emotional and difficult ‘couple time’.

Dr Yeong has authored and co-authored more than 50 scientific publications, and has delivered invited lectures at international and regional conferences and workshops. He speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien fluently.
